Sept 29, 2013, from Farmington, MIssouri to Campbell, Illinois

This morning we leave Farmington, Missouri, and on the way to the airfield, we get lost and almost end up where we do not want to go....

Take off to St Louis, Spirit of St Louis, the home of Charles Lindbergh.

Long final on Rwy 9 R

Norma is waiting for us at the terminal, we catch up on the past years since we have not met

Spirit of St Louis has a large number of private jets coming in and out

On the way north, we follow the Illinois River

and we landed at the Canton / Ingersoll field for fuel for the airplane and fuel for our stomach by driving into town on the airport courtesy car

our table neighbor ordered a "small" fried chicken portion

we meet this guy at Canton / Ingersoll airfield who just took delivery of his small airplane and is taking it back to Seattle on the back of his RV.

He took of the wings of the plane and off he goes. I would have preferred to fly it.!!
Wind power is being installed by the 100's

Nice fields in all different greens.

Andrew Stone waits for us at Campbell's airfield in Grayslake, Illinois, and he drives us on his "little" truck to his house in Northbrook, outside Chicago, where we plan to stay for 2 nights.

After settling in, we end up at a fish restaurant, rated as the largest grossing restaurant in USA
Sea food is the name of the game, Bob Chinn has his own airplane flying in fish daily, it can't be any fresher.
and when back home, we have an after dinner drink on the porch. Temperatures are no more the same as we enjoyed in FL, or in LA...
