For the sake of fun, in Pawtucket / North central airport ((KSFZ), in the state of Rhode Island, we stopped the airplane at the end of the runway, I stood on the brakes, Werner stepped out of the plane with the engine running, touched the ground, walked around the airplane, then I did the same. We touched Rhode Island for no longer than 30 seconds each of us...
In Meriden / Markham, Conn., we stop for fuel and lunch
not a gastronomic lunch, but it keeps us going
How comes flowers grow out of the concrete???
and how do you find the right cable???
Soon we get to one of the HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP,
we fly southbound over the Hudson River, at 800 ft over the river, a spectacular flight, despite some foggy / hazy conditions
GWR on the chart is nothing else than the Georg Washington bridge over the Hudson river, we we cross at below 1000 ft
Where in the world can you do such incredible flights???
we circle the Statue of Liberty, at 800 ft over the water, following and ahead of a few helicopters ferrying tourists
Watch the 2 videos of the flight along the Hudson River, the haze is disturbing a little the views, but it is still enjoyable
A container boat loaded with goods from China inbound to New York

My new summer residence in NJ...
but the bad news is the traffic to get there.......---->>>>>>>>>>
Wilmington, DE, is our next point on the chart, on the way to Cecil, Maryland.
An airport with 3 runways in a triangle configuration, and the bridge (Delaware Memorial Bridge) separating DE from New Jersey. Plant on the left is DuPont Chambers Works.

In Cecil, MD, the airport manager borrows us his courtesy "car" for the evening, as long as we bring it back tomorrow morning with some fuel replacing the fuel we used.
Dinner is downtown, guess what dinner is again... (It seems it is not yet or no more crab season)

The bridge ( Dealware Memorial Bridge) actually separates Delaware from New Jersey ! Plant on the left is DuPont Chambers Works.
