Oct 8, 2013, from New Market VA to Atlanta GA, our last of the 48 states ticked off the list

We leave Vonny and Mark early in the morning southbound.
Below the new stadium at JMU in Harrissonburg, VA
and if you need a second, third, fourth hand car, the choice is yours.

We stop in Martinsville, VA for refueling,

and park our airplane (the small mosquito back there...) in the middle of big private jets

For lunch we stop at Lake Norman, Mooresville, North Carolina, and meet with Roger Schwartz who takes us for a nice Thai lunch in town

Roger and Louis, remembering good old days

The runway is not exactly in the wind direction, but we can manage

Housing on the runway, the pilot's dream

not my summer cottage.... with high electrical fences around the pool

In Anderson, South Carolina, we refill our bird

and soon we reach Atlanta, and its big spaghetti junctions

We park next to swiss high tech products (A Pilatus PC 12 for the non pilots)
Carla, Luka and Vika await us at the airport, we take Vika first on a flight to Lake Lanier, and then Luka, for a flight to Stone Mountain

They seem to have enjoyed it!!

Luka helps me to refill the airplane once back from our trips

before Carla serves dinner, and Vika sings a good night song

  2. Louis and Werner, it was so much fun to have both of you with us for a couple of nights. Shame you did not have more time. Very cool that you finished your project in style, with beautiful weather and in company of good friends.
    Keep in touch,
    Love,
    Carla
